Privacy & Quiz Name Policy

Updated: 11 October 2026

Guest launch: You can play without creating an account. We do not request your real name, email address or telephone number to enter the public quiz.

Who runs this site?

Football's Top 10 is independently operated by N S Gamble in the United Kingdom. Questions about your information or a public Quiz Name can be sent to hello@footballstop10.com.

What is displayed?

When you compete, you choose a Quiz Name for that day's challenge. That name, your verified score, completion time and rank may appear on the public Daily Top 10 and, after the day ends, within the historical archive. A name is not a permanent account and may be chosen by someone different on another day. Please do not enter your real name or other identifying information.

What information is processed?

The quiz uses a temporary random attempt identifier to check answers securely and prevent forged scores. The underlying answer records are kept temporarily for security and score verification and then cleaned up automatically. Final daily results and archived leaderboards may be kept to preserve competition history. We do not ask for email addresses or phone numbers for guest play.

Essential browser storage is used to remember your current quiz progress on your own device. Cloudflare provides the website, security and database infrastructure and may process technical request information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the service. The guest-launch site does not deliberately include third-party advertising or analytics tracking scripts.

Why is the information used?

We use quiz-entry information to run the free daily competition, verify answers, display results, protect the integrity of the table and moderate inappropriate or suspicious entries. We rely on our legitimate interests in running and securing the quiz, where applicable.

Sharing via WhatsApp

WhatsApp sharing is optional and initiated by you. We do not request access to your address book or store your contacts or telephone number. If you share a score, the resulting message is handled by your chosen messaging service.

Quiz Name rules

Choose a name suitable for a general football audience. Do not impersonate another person, reveal personal information, use hateful or offensive wording or pretend to represent FT10. Names are reserved only for each day's competition; someone else may use the same name on another date. We may remove an inappropriate entry or disqualify a score where there is evidence of cheating.

How long is information kept?

Temporary attempt details are ordinarily removed within a few days. Official Daily Top 10 names and scores can remain in the archive as a historic record unless removed under the moderation or privacy process. Some technical security logs are controlled by our infrastructure providers under their own retention settings.

Your choices and rights

To ask for the removal of a particular archived Quiz Name, request information about processing or raise a concern, contact hello@footballstop10.com and give the quiz date and name. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. The exact rights available depend on the circumstances and applicable data protection law.

Changes

If we later introduce registered accounts, mini-leagues, advertising technology or analytics, we will reassess our information practices and update this notice.
